UV coating application
How to apply Shellac?
Emmi® nail UV polish is easy to apply and is scratch and impact resistant. But how do you apply it so that it lasts as long as possible? You'll find the most important tips and tricks in our clear, step-by-step instructions. Most importantly, make sure that you are not exposed to sunlight when applying it.
Step 1:
Prepare your natural nail as usual. Push back your cuticles with a rosewood stick or metal spatula and remove the excess cuticles with cuticle scissors or cuticle nippers.
File the free end of your nail into shape, then matt the nail with a buffer.
Step 2:
Then apply the UV polish base/top coat. It is important to coat the free end of the nail and apply the UV base/top coat in three brush strokes (center, left, right).
*Curing time: 120 seconds in the UV device or in the UV/LED device
Step 3:
The first layer of color with the Shellac serves as a primer. Only with the second coat is the color applied, also in three brush strokes, covering the nail. Here too, the free end of the nail must be coated so that the color lasts for a long time.
*Curing time: 120 seconds in the UV device or 60 seconds in the UV/LED device
Step 4:
The polish is then sealed with the UV polish base/top coat. Apply it in three brush strokes, as in the previous steps.
*Curing time: 120 seconds in the UV device or in the UV/LED device
Step 5:
Finally, remove the inhibition layer (= sticky layer of perspiration) with a cell brush and our High-Gloss Cleaner.
How can I remove Shellac again?
Our Emmi®-Nail Shellac lasts a really long time, but at some point you will still want a new color on your nails. We have summarized for you in simple steps how you can now easily remove the manicure with gel polish:
Variant 1:
Roughen the polish with a buffer / buffer file until it is no longer shiny. CAUTION: Please only buff the polish, not the natural nail.
Soak a remover wrap with the remover. Wrap the nail with the wrap and leave the remover on for 8 minutes. For a better hold, grip the nail with our remover clips. For even easier removal, hold the nails in the light curing device during the application time.
*Application time: 8 minutes
Variant 2:
Pour some remover into a manicure bowl and dip your nails in. Leave the remover on for approx. 3 minutes. Then carefully try to remove the polish with a rosewood stick. If the layer still does not come off, leave the remover on for another minute.
Please ensure that you leave the remover on for a maximum of 10 minutes.
*Application time: approx. 3 minutes
