The special Piezo-Chip (ultrasonic generator) is patented and sits directly behind the bristles in the attachment. It is stimulated to 95 million oscillations per minute and transmits the ultrasonic waves directly into the toothpaste via the bristles.

How does the emmi®-pet ultrasonic toothbrush work?

 

The patented emmi®-pet ultrasonic toothbrush stimulates a piezo chip in the brush head to vibrate 96 million times per minute. This creates tiny microbubbles in the special ultrasonic toothpaste. These implode and clean the tooth surface, gums and interdental spaces. The effect can be compared to the ultrasonic cleaning of glasses and watches, only adapted to the sensitive gums and the challenges of oral hygiene.

The effectiveness of ultrasonic toothbrushes against bacterial infections of the periodontium (periodontitis), against inflammation of the gums (gingivitis) and against inflamed surfaces in the mouth (aphtosis) in humans has been tested in various Studies proven. Regular tooth brushing helps to significantly reduce the number of bacteria in the mouth. As the helpful bacteria in the mouth multiply faster than the inflammatory ones, ultrasonic tooth cleaning says goodbye to annoying mouth odor.

 

How to use the emmi®-pet ultrasonic toothbrush?

The new way of cleaning teeth works without scrubbing or pressure. It is therefore suitable for getting dogs used to a regular grooming routine, even as puppies. Thanks to the gentle ultrasonic waves, it can also be helpful when changing teeth. The brush head is simply moved lightly over the teeth. The focus should be on the incisors and molars. However, only certain areas, such as the teeth, can be treated with sound. Please also use our special ultrasonic toothpaste with the emmi®-pet brush. The unique formula creates the necessary microbubbles that remove dirt and plaque. The formula has been specially adapted to the needs of dogs and cats.

The brush head reaches two to three teeth, depending on the tooth shape. After approx. 6 seconds on the teeth, move the ultrasonic toothbrush to the next teeth. Repeat this until all teeth are clean. You can also stay twice as long on areas with heavier deposits if the animal is willing to do so. Afterwards, simply brush off all the gel-like dirt starting from the gums and you're done.

When do I need to change the brush brushes?

 

The ultrasonic brush heads can be used for 3 months and should then be replaced. The bristle structure changes over time due to the ultrasonic waves and no longer transmits 100% of the ultrasound after a certain time. For optimal tooth cleaning, remember to change the attachments four times a year.
