The patented Piezo ceramic disc (ultrasonic transducer) in the brush head generates the ultrasound and transmits it at a rate of up to 96 million air vibrations per minute directly into the skin. Air vibrations per minute directly into the microbubble-enriched emmi^®-dent ultrasonic toothpastes. The ultrasonic waves destroy the structure of the microbubbles, creating a suction effect that removes the biofilm and plaque. This allows you to thoroughly clean your teeth and protect your gums without causing toothache. The result is noticeably smooth teeth. Bacteria are reduced and the oral cavity remains fresh for longer after cleaning.

How to use an ultrasonic toothbrush

The new type of tooth cleaning works without scrubbing or pressure. The brush head is simply moved lightly over the teeth. Please also use our special ultrasonic toothpaste with the emmi®-dent brush. The unique formula creates the necessary microbubbles that remove dirt and plaque. One tube with 75 milliliters is sufficient for approximately six weeks.

The brush head reaches two to three teeth, depending on the tooth shape. After approx. 6 seconds on the teeth, move the ultrasonic toothbrush to the next teeth. Repeat this until all teeth are clean. One tooth cleaning takes about 3 minutes. Afterwards, simply brush off all loose dirt starting from the gums and rinse your mouth as usual.for heavy plaque and large interdental spaces, we recommend that you initially clean your interdental spaces with aids from& emmi^®-dent such as dental floss, interdental brushes and mouthwashes.

What is the difference between an ultrasonic toothbrush and a sonic toothbrush

Electric toothbrushes are available in various designs. Some clean by rotating the usually round brush head, others generate vibrations that set the bristles in motion on rather loose bristle heads and thus rub the dirt off the tooth. This usually happens at 20,000 to 30,000 vibrations per minute. The emmi®-dent ultrasonic toothbrush surpasses both many times over: the emmi®-dent works with up to 96 million oscillations per minute and uses ultrasonic waves rather than vibrations.

With the ultrasonic toothbrush, you therefore do not remove the plaque mechanically, i.e. by abrasion, but by the imploding bubbles in the toothpaste. A world of difference in effect and effectiveness. You will feel the difference!

How often do I need to change the brush pads?

 

The ultrasonic brush heads can be used for 3 months and should then be replaced. The bristle structure changes over time due to the ultrasonic waves and no longer transmits 100% of the ultrasound after a certain time. For optimal tooth cleaning, remember to change the attachments four times a year.
